Party Time

We have had a very busy day baking buns for the Coffee Afternoon tomorrow. 

We will be icing and decorating the buns in the morning.

Marie Curie Mini Pots of Care

Today we planted daffodil bulbs to raise money for Marie Curie cancer care.

We will care for our bulbs over the winter and in  spring will bring them home in a decorated pot.Fundraising details will be issued nearer the time.

Diwali

We have listened to he story of Diwali and watched clips about how Diwali is celebrated. We used masks to act out the story and made rangoli patterns.

Planting onions. We braved the cold weather to plant onions this afternoon.

During our first week back after half term we re enacted our experiences of Halloween. 

We really enjoyed mixing potions in the outdoor area.!

Our first half term

I cant believe we have reached the end of our first half term .
The children have settled in to school life extremely well. Many staff members have commented on their excellent behaviour and maturity.
I hope you all liked the woodland creatures that were sent home as the children put a great deal of effort  into creating these.
It was great to see so many of you at the Monsters University cinema and I hope that you enjoyed it .

Next half term will be a busy one, and we are looking forward to starting the term with our cross curricular topic of Islam .

We will begin practising our Nativity plays fairly soon into the term and the dates will be confirmed next week.

Have a safe and enjoyable half term break and I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 5th November .
